Elizabeth Jordan, DNSc, RNC was elected to the National Board of Directors of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.

Aisling McGukin, BSN, RN was awarded the Refugee Women’s Advocates Award for Outstanding Volunteerism from the International Rescue Committee.

Robin Newhouse, PhD, RN, CNOR, CAN received a three-year Mentored Clinical Scientist Development Award (KO8) from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality for “Rural Hospital Nursing: Environment, Effects and Evidence.”

Dan Sheridan, PhD, RN, FNE-A, FAAN received a $34,525 grant from the Governor’s Office of Crime Control & Prevention to coordinate two Forensic Nurse Examiner Pediatric Trainings in Maryland.

Elizabeth “Ibby” Tanner, PhD, RN has been appointed a commissioner for the Baltimore City Commission on Aging and Retirement Education.

Kathleen White, PhD, RN, CNAA, BC and Nancy Woods, PhD, CNM, were named the 2006 recipients of the Johns Hopkins University Alumni Association Excellence in Teaching Awards.

Phyllis Sharps, PhD, RN, FAAN was honored by her alma mater as one of four University of Delaware alumni inducted into the Alumni Wall of Fame.
