Research is an integral component to the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing experience, and there are several opportunities for MSN (Entry into Nursing) students to get involved, whether you have previous research experience or not. If you have aspirations of contributing to research as a nursing student, we are able to meet that need with our notable faculty and their world-renowned scholarship.
Specifically, MSN (Entry into Nursing) students have the opportunity to get involved directly with ongoing research through The Fuld Fellows Leadership Program and The Research Honors Program.
The Fuld Fellows Leadership Program
The Fuld Fellows Leadership Program allows students the opportunity to participate in the highest quality interprofessional health education, research, and patient care delivery. Through collaboration with Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the Johns Hopkins Schools of Nursing, Medicine, and Public Health, students are able to bridge theory and practice through practical quality improvement and patient safety experiences.
The Research Honors Program
The Research Honors Program is another way to gain exposure to research; students can work along-side experienced scientists through ongoing research projects that aim to advance the body of knowledge and nursing practice, shape health policy, and impact the health of people. Research continues to bring value to nursing and is a way to promote intellectual growth among a diverse group of students.

Many students may develop a passion or interest for a specific population or area of expertise and decide they want to get more deeply involved in research. You’dbe able to expandyour knowledge and skill development while working with other, like-minded researchers from across Johns Hopkins University.
