What Nurses Need to Know: The latest on Coronavirus from Infectious Disease Expert Dr. Jason Farley

As of March 11, 2020, Coronavirus cases have passed 121,000 worldwide. While it’s important to note that roughly 80 percent of infected people have mild or no symptoms, “that puts us into the mindset that, ‘this is not all that bad, I might still be able to go out,’ ” says Dr. Jason Farley. And so the virus spreads.

On March 6, Dr. Farley, along with other Hopkins experts from the schools of Medicine and Public Health, provided a briefing on Capitol Hill to reporters and congressional staffers regarding the COVID-19 virus. You can watch the full briefing here.

Dr. Farley has put together Coronavirus video updates for both practitioners and the general public on transmission of the disease, how people can be protected, and what to do if they suspect they have the disease.
