Summer…The Best Time for Campus Visits

The summer is a great season to be outside enjoying the weather or on a roadtrip vacation, so what better time of the year is there to visit the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing! The campus visit is one of the most important parts of the college-going process.  You may have visited one too many schools when you were looking at undergraduate programs, and your parents asked some really odd questions back then, so you may think it isn’t important to visit campuses now.  However, visiting schools you plan on applying to now is just as important as it was then.  It helps you to answer the question “can I imagine myself as a nursing student here?”  You need to know about the facilities, the lab space, classrooms, and their proximity to everything else.  All of this gives you the feel of the campus. If you are new to Baltimore, you might want to find out where to live, eat, shop, and how to get around. All significant things to do before you attend! There are plenty of opportunities to visit during the summer, so take us up on our offer and drop by Johns Hopkins!

We have weekly Tour and Information Sessions on Fridays from 10am-12:30pm. You will have the opportunity to learn about the nursing programs here at Johns Hopkins and tour the School of Nursing campus.  You can register online or call the Office of Admissions and Student Services at 410-955-7548.

If you cannot make a Friday, the Office of Admissions and Student Services is available for advising appointments Monday through Friday between 9am and 4:30pm. Please call us to schedule a time!

If you just absolutely cannot visit campus, no worries, you can always join us for an Online Chat. This has all the advantages of a visit without the actual travel!  You will be able to chat with staff members from the Office of Admissions and Student Services. Occasionally students and faculty will join as well. Our next Online Chat will be held on Friday, August 6th at 2:30pm.
