In the fourth episode of The Center for Global Initiatives Podcast, hosts Anne Schultz and Elyse Rudemiller talk to Dr. Nancy Glass about her Pigs for Peace project in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Glass discusses how a career in nursing led her to raising pigs to help rural adult women and men in the DRC improve their health, economic stability, and family and community relationships. Glass is a professor and the associate dean for research at The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, as well as the associate director for the Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health. Her research focuses on intimate partner violence and health care disparities.
